Here lies my process and work for my final project in the MA program at SCAD. It will be a long ride but hopefully an enjoyable one. This will be one continuous blog that will be updated through the duration of the project, so I apologize if this is a mess in the beginning. Please come back towards November to take a look.

Pre-Production:

After planning a Layout and listing the shots needed for the project, I used Maya for Pre-Production of the 3D space and camera move. Having this planned and done before the Green Screen shoot allowed us to plan for light sources and ensured that I had different camera shots. Plus I am a person that likes to have a plan. The only hiccup that day was that my measurements of the space was wrong. I had found measurements online of a different Green Screen facility on campus rather than the one I was using but even with the measurements incorrect the visual was enough to get the job done.

For my project I will have a rotating camera along with some stills so I had planned for all of the shots. After it was all planned we went to the Green Screen room where I had assistance from Anderson Yang, Porter Justus, and the model Hannah Spillers. It was a fun day and we all worked well and efficiently, I am really grateful for their help.

Production:

After the pre-vis and shooting on the green screen, I spent a lot of time modeling and collecting references and textures. I am also currently self learning Marvelous Designer in order to make the clothing in the boutique. Everything is also real world scale so, as a make my models I am making sure everything is the proper size and UV. Here is a quick screen grab of a dress that is a work in progress.
